Soft Shelter / Ward

Soft Shelter repurposes an abandoned shipping container wrapped in a thin latex membrane. The rigid container, once a vessel of global capital, becomes a purposeless shell, while the delicate latex evokes tension between protection and fragility. This contrast reflects on the circulation and abandonment of objects within global systems, revealing emotional and temporal traces beneath structural hardness. Positioned between dwelling and ruin, the work explores the instability of material, space, and identity. It invites viewers to reconsider how bodies and environments interact within urban and global frameworks, opening space for new meanings amid uncertainty.

Ward is an immersive installation of suspended latex sheets evoking shed skin. The walk-in space challenges boundaries between containment and exposure, exploring vulnerability and corporeal transformation. Acting as a liminal membrane, it invites reflection on the persistence of embodied traces and the threshold between body and environment.
